Library Collection

The Regis College Library collection contains approximately 85,000 items with strength in Christian spirituality, especially the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, historical theology, Roman Catholic systematic theology, Christian ethics and Jesuitica. The Library subscribes to about 150 periodicals. For more information please refer to our Collection Development Policy.  Our most recent acquisitions are listed weekly in New & Notable.

The Regis collection is in the shared online catalogue of the University of Toronto. The print and electronic collections of the University of Toronto Libraries (UTL) are available to students, staff and faculty with a current T-card.

Many of the libraries in the University of Toronto Libraries system have significant theology collections, particularly the five other libraries of member colleges of the Toronto School of Theology (TST), the Pontifical Institute for Medieval Studies (PIMS) Library, the Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies (CRRS), and the main humanities and social science library (Robarts). All of these resources may be searched through the catalogue.

The Lonergan Research Institute, located in Regis College, includes an archive and library for materials related to Bernard Lonergan. The materials in this collections are available for on-site consultation only.

The Archives of the Jesuits in Canada are located in Montreal. For more information see their website.
